Who said ODI format has no future. Its true that it doesn't have the class of test cricket and the entertainment factor of 20-20 but it has got its own charm. It has been a success for the last 4 decades and will remain so. I think all the three formats can co-exist.
Say in India most of the bilateral cricket series have 3 tests and 5 or 6 ODIs. Now we can change that to 3-3-3. A series can start with test matches and after that ODIs can be scheduled which will act like a buffer between tests and 20-20. This kind of planning will help players to adapt to different formats easily.
